Custom Foot Levelers Orthotics
Foot Levelers orthotics are “made for the feet, but designed for the body.” They correct imbalances in the feet in order to help the biomechanics and function of the whole kinetic chain, from the joints in your feet to your knees, hips, pelvis, and spine. Cold Laser or Low-Level Laser Therapy (LLLT)
Cold laser therapy is used to speed the recovery of damaged tissues. The particular laser utilized at Pro Active Chiropractic is the ML-830. The ML-830 is the first patented cold laser device. Research has proven the wavelength of 830 nanometers and power output of 30 milliwatts per diode (3) to be the most effective wavelength and power output for effecting a variety of positive changes in injured tissues. Other lasers on the market are sharp on appearance and low on effect. They often have wavelengths of 632 nanometers and power output of 5 milliwatts which are the same parameters for laser pointers (yes, laser pointers).
Research has demonstrated why 830nm wavelengths and 30 milliwatts of power per diode are the most clinically effective laser settings:
- Penetration – lasers at 830 nm wavelengths penetrate tissues to a depth of 4+ cm versus a maximal depth of 1cm for 632 nm wavelengths.
- ATP or cellular energy production – At 830 nm wavelengths, cellular ATP production is stimulated maximally in the affected tissues versus no ATP stimulation at 632nm
